What is Fair and What is Not - DRM in an Evolving Online World

Today we see online content distribution growing rapidly, millions of people are now enjoying music downloaded to digital players, the same is now beginning happening to video. Digital Rights Management software has been deployed to protect the rights of content creators, but its application is viewed by many as been highly restrictive.

The presentation will look at the evolving world of mass customisation, user generated and traditionally produced content, what is fair and what is not, there needs to be a balance here or the whole ecosystem cannot prosper.

Session Moderator:
David O'Byrne, Senior Project Director, GSMA

Larry Moores, SVP, Global Product Management, Real Networks; Cenk Serdar, Chief Value Added Services Officer, Turkcell
